A well-established, 70-year-old worldwide custom manufacturing company is looking for a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor (2:00pm - 10:30pm Mon-Fri) for permanent placement in Arvada, CO. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing the CNC fabrication of metal parts, including pumps and compressors involving complex impellors and inducers, for use in multiple growing industries. You will manage a staff of 15 direct Machinists, and an additional support staff of a 15 Assemblers, Logistics Coordinators, and Planners. Responsibilities include 25% keeping the shop on track with production schedules, including multiple cells in the machine shop, reacting accordingly to a dynamic environment, and maintaining clear communication to day shift, 25% connecting with, coaching, and counselling employees, setting expectations, identifying areas to train, and taking corrective actions when necessary. You will spend 40%+ of your time with continuous improvement projects including TPM (total preventative maintenance), 6s (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety), including identifying areas of inefficiency and creating solutions. The last 10% is Liaison work between machinists and both Manufacturing Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering teams ie. Blueprint questions, tools getting ordered, etc.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years' experience in CNC Manufacturing Environment (Engineered to order)
3+ years demonstrated supervisor or management experience (competing priorities, problem solving, process improvement)
Experience driving a production schedule in a dynamic environment
Working examples of improving a process or improving a flow, communicating ideas
Safety focused, quality
Forklift certification Lean 6 Sigma/Continuous improvement experience
APICS Certification
ERP System - JDE 9.2 preferred
Production Planning experience null
