Glazier

Altitude Installations Ltd. is growing and we are currently looking for a full-time experienced Glazier to join our team as soon as possible.

Hours per week: 40
Compensation: $35.00 per hour, plus 4% in lieu of vacation, medical/dental after 3 month probationary period, bonus based on performance, all travel expenses paid for out-of-province projects (in Alberta at our facility there)

Job Requirements:
1. Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Glazier
2. Language: Functional English language is required (speaking, reading and writing)
3. Education: Minimum Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Specific Job Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required
Measure and mark glass and cut glass using glass cutters or computerized cutter
Tint glass and create patterns on glass by etching, sandblasting or painting designs
Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolds, rigging and hoisting equipment
Position glass panes into frames and secure glass using clips, points or mouldings
Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products on walls, ceilings or exteriors of building

Work Setting:
Commercial and residential buildings.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Work under pressure; repetitive tasks; handling heavy loads; physically demanding; attention to detail is required; standing for extended periods of time; bending, crouching, kneeling.

Travel:
Must be willing and able to travel to Alberta to work on specific projects from time to time, at our facility there.
