Field Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for overseeing and supporting all field operational activities related to NITROcrete systems. The Field Operations Manager will oversee the regional field service managers, ensuring that projects stay on task and systems are adequately supported. Responsibilities include working in a team environment to help support new customer installations, oversee system repairs & maintenance, managing operations schedules, and assisting in all customer support activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a liaison between internal teams to ensure customer needs are being met, coordinating between the Commercial, Technical Support, and Supply Chain teams

Coordinate internal resources and third-party contractors to execute field projects, maintain systems and provide customer support

Assist in preparing and maintaining project management tools

Maintain comprehensive field operations schedule, establishing priorities and delegating resources

Oversee the day-to-day activities of all Field Service Mangers, ensuring that task objectives are defined and that work is performed effectively and efficiently

Utilize system monitoring tools and field personnel to provide customer support during critical jobs

Provide technical support duties and supervision during the busy season, ensuring active systems are being monitored and the root cause of technical and/or mechanical issues are identified

Assist in developing and overseeing routine maintenance schedules nitrogen storage tanks and NAT system components

Ensure service tickets are promptly created and assigned to the proper owners

Coordinate the movement of assets in the field, including storage tanks, and NITROcrete equipment

Maintain all assets, ensuring key assets are properly tracked and routine maintenance and inspections take place

Manage and maintain field inventory, ensuring spare parts and materials are readily available and service trucks are kept stocked

Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure that the correct parts and materials are delivered to sites for field projects and tasks

Assist in managing bill of materials and design improvements for NITROcrete system components

Provide training to field personnel related to system operation and calibration as needed

Assist with projects and customer support activity in the field as needed

Oversee training and development of field employees

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly and indirectly supervises up to 5 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Engineering, construction management or business management degrees preferred

A minimum of 10 years in an operational management role

Experience in the ready mix or construction industries preferred

Previous supervisory experience required

Language

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
