Cryogenic Technician/Welder
As a TIG welder you are responsible for operating various hand tools, weld stainless steel aluminum and carbon steel in various positions and degrees of difficulty.
Must be able to pass a 6G GTAW test on a 1.5" Sch. 10 Stainless!

POSITION SUMMARY
Welders needed for rehabilitation of cryogenic trailers to support the industrial gas business by performing the following duties: Cryogenic Technician/Welder with welding and mechanical experience. Tasks involve all shop functions including assembly, grinding and welding. The position will be required to learn vacuum leak detection and functions. Cryogenic experience is a plus but not a requirement to start.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
An employee must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation. Other duties may be assigned.
3-5 years experience minimum required.
Strongly skilled in GTAW stainless and aluminum.
Experience in cutting out and replacing valves/piping.
General ability to fabricate with or without prints.
Competent using a tape measure, level, square, basic fit up tools.
Ability to stay focused at work and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Be able to work with minimal supervision and logically think through things.
Must have drivers license and vehicle to get to work daily.
Willing to perform other tasks besides welding. (IE Cleaning up, PM on equipment, mechanical tasks, vacuum investigations, painting and paint preparation)
Be able to cut out valves, alter piping systems, install valves, fit up piping and flanges.
Perform pressure and leak tests
- Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, sketches and work orders.
- Lay out, fit, or connect parts, calculate production measurements, as necessary.
- Set up, operate welding machines to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
- Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.
- Proficient at GMAW-S and FCAW.
- Must be able to pass 6G GTAW test on 1.5 Sch. 10.
- Perform other shop duties such as cutting and assembly.
- Ensure safety, quality, production processes are followed; Uses required personal protective equipment and safely operates welding machines and tools.
- Promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Performs other duties as directed by management

Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 -5 years experience welding; Mig, TIG, and pipe.
Language
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively.
Mathematical
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply sound judgment to follow instructions delivered in written, verbal, or diagram form. Capable of performing effectively under pressure while maintaining clarity and focus in decision-making.

Physical Requirements & Conditions:
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- You must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
