We are looking for Equipment Operators to join our team.
Responsibilities:
+ Work as a part of a crew.
+ Operates or tends machinery equipped buckets, to excavate and load loose materials
+ Operates construction equipment, such as, power shovels, trench-digging machines, bulldozers
+ Operate heavy equipment safely and in compliance with the companys operating safety policies and procedures
+ Perform daily equipment inspections prior to starting machine and after operation
+ Clean cab, tracks and windshield daily; grease and check fluids daily
+ Maintain proper slope, benching and spoil pipe placement per OSHA standards (includes proper utilization of trench safety/boxes)
+ Excavate responsibly around all existing utilities
+ Enforce hand digging while in close proximity to existing utilities
+ Have knowledge of proper rigging techniques
+ Immediately report any and all damage to equipment to supervisor
+ Attend Operator Certification Training
+ Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications
+ Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Crew leader, Foreman, or Supervisor.
+ Handle physically demanding construction duties.
+ Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, manual labor and shovel work, and operate power tools
+ Comply with all OSHA and Moss safety policies and guidelines (Use stop work authority if necessary)
+ Support a positive safety culture
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions
+ Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change
+ Ability to work with a variety of personalities
+ Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed to count and take inventory
+ Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
+ Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
+ Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
