Summary

The Project Manager will provide overall management direction for a large majorproject or two or more smaller projects, may develop new business opportunitiesrelative to a particular client, group of clients, or geographical area. ProjectManagers make decisions that can greatly impact corporate relationship withclients and profitability of projects. The position is responsible for applyingcomprehensive and fully integrated professional construction project managementknowledge and skills to direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously ofvariable scale, budget, and complexity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Interfaces and maintains rapport with client, architect, engineers, andownersInterfaces and maintains work schedule with OwnerPrepares budget for projectMonitors man-hour budgetsMonitors and approves weekly time sheets for field personnelDevelops, monitors, and updates project schedulesEnsures that jobs are completed within budgeted costsEnsures that work is completed per contract, plans and specificationsEnsures that jobs meet completion deadlinesInsures completion of closeout in a timely mannerDemonstrates knowledge of contract administrationRequests change orders to contractDemonstrates knowledge of plans and specificationsIssues Purchase Orders for subcontractors and materials per ContractdocumentsMonitors progress of trades and approves/disapproves their performanceDemonstrates knowledge of industry-related tradesMonitors rental equipment, delivery, storage, operation and maintenanceCompletes required paperwork accurately and timelyInsures implementation of safety program for field personnelInvestigates and reports all workers compensation, liability and autoaccidentsTrains new employees in compliance with state and federal governmentregulationsEnsures compliance with hazardous material permits and licenses, hazardousmaterial communication and approval and maintenance of jobsite traffic controlplansCommunicates job requirements to the Field PersonnelConducts regular performance appraisals for Field PersonnelMaintain good employee relationsExamines career goals with Field PersonnelMeets or exceeds external and internal customer expectationsProduces a high quality of workOversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed inaccordance with design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with clientrepresentatives, subcontractors, end users, etc.Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standardswithin boundaries of corporate policy. Plan, coordinate and/or superviseactivities of all company personnel on assigned project(s).Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-siteSuperintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget;investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.Authorize and approve all purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards,etc., are adhered to Interpret policies as requiredMaintain official project log and documentation files. Assist withimplementation/interpretation of safety programs. Provide direction to planning,scheduling, and engineering functions as requiredManage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment,income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintaingood relationship with ClientAssume additional responsibilities as directed by managementObserves Company policies and procedures.Observes Company safety rules and regulations.Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field ispreferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experiencepreferred7+ years of relatable project management experience including provenexperience in executing business plans, and managing financial performance ofassigned projectsWorking knowledge of the Microsoft 360 platform preferredLeadership attributes including, but and not limited to organizational andcritical thinking skills, the ability to analyze data and trends, professionalconduct at all timesHigh-stress tolerance; must be able to thrive in a high-pressure environmentA highly motivated self-starting, autonomous individual who can workindependently and set their own priorities, yet also function well as part ofthe overall team.
