Position Title: Plumber
Pay Range: $23.00-$30.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Position Purpose:
Performs skilled Plumbing work. This is a temporary seasonal position not to exceed 122 days that will be scheduled full-time hours.
Pre/Post Fair Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7 am to 3:30 pm; Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Fair Schedule (SWING): Wednesday through Sunday, 3:30PM - 12:00AM.
Schedule subject to change based on business needs.
Essential Functions:
- Installs, maintains and repairs a variety of plumbing equipment and fixtures including water, gas, sewage, fire control, steam and refrigeration systems.
- Installs, maintains and repairs pumps.
- Conducts regular inspections of all plumbing systems to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
- Installs and removes temporary plumbing equipment.
- Prepares rough drafts and estimates of plumbing projects.
- Orders, maintains and stores plumbing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid California driver's license to operate a utility cart and other equipment.
- 3 plus years of experience
- Must have working knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, tools and equipment used in plumbing.
- Must be familiar with common safety rules and practices of the National Plumbing Code and Safety Orders.
- Must be able to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Good customer service skills and the ability to work well with others a must.
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
- Must be available to work 5 days per week, on either morning or swing shift between mid-July and mid-August.
Preferences:
- Experience in safely operating heavy equipment such as forklift, manlift, scissors lift, etc. highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the layout and facilities of the OC Fair & Event Center helpful.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud, however louder noise levels may be experienced during outdoor events and when in larger event buildings.
