WSB is seeking a motivated Instrument Operator to join our Survey team in Denver, Colorado. This position will support survey crews in collecting field data for a wide range of projects, including land development, infrastructure, and construction. The Instrument Operator works closely with the Survey Crew Chief to ensure accurate and efficient data collection using state-of-the-art survey equipment.
Location: Denver, Colorado
What You Will Do:
- Operate GPS equipment, total stations, and other surveying instruments to collect field data.
- Assist the Survey Crew Chief with boundary, topographic, construction, and utility surveys.
- Maintain and ensure proper care and calibration of survey equipment.
- Perform manual labor, including staking, marking, and setting up equipment as needed.
- Ensure field work is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Record field notes and maintain documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project supervisors.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Colorado as needed.
What You Will Bring:
- 6 months to 1 year of survey experience preferred, but entry-level candidates will be considered.
- Familiarity with GPS, total stations, and data collectors is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
