Site SuperintendentJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects. This role involves performing daily onsite inspections, managing personnel, and ensuring project safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
+ Perform daily onsite inspections and monitor job progress to ensure safety and quality.
+ Manage and verify onsite personnel, coordinating subcontractor activities and conducting foremens meetings.
+ Ensure project site safety by performing daily audits and inspections.
+ Maintain quality control by inspecting approved material deliveries, confirming benchmarks and mock-ups, and identifying non-conformance items.
+ Resolve onsite issues and problems, prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), and maintain thorough documentation through daily logs and observations.
+ Coordinate, organize, and schedule subcontractor work activities and inspections, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
+ Review and confirm final as-built drawings and process project documentation.
+ Oversee changes to the original scope of work and maintain both long-term and short-term schedules.
+ Conduct recurring site meetings with subcontractors and vendors, including pre-installation meetings.
+ Communicate effectively with all project partners including inspectors, code officials, and consultants.
Essential Skills
+ 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent for a General Contractor in the industrial sector (e.g., Warehouses, Hospitals).
+ Open to out-of-state travel and extended periods away from home.
+ Strong construction supervision skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Work Environment
The role involves travel across the Lehigh Valley and to out-of-state job sites in PA, DE, VA, MD, and other states. The typical workday starts at 6 AM and ends around 4 PM. The position offers a company truck, gas card, and corporate card for out-of-pocket expenses such as food and travel. Employees can generally return home on most weekends.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
