Qualifications and Skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D Knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and regulations related to public works projects Strong project management and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Typical Duties Assist in designing and managing civil engineering projects from planning through construction Conduct detailed analysis, design, and drafting of infrastructure systems, including roads, water and sewer systems, and other infrastructure projects Perform calculations, technical reviews, and evaluations to ensure designs meet local, state, and federal regulations Prepare written reports and communicate effectively with others Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project solutions Perform inspections to ensure construction work is in compliance with project documents Ideal Qualifications Four-year college degree in civil engineering or a related field 3 to 5 years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience Valid California Class C driver's license.
