Solar Installer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team in Maryland. The Solar Installer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction while contributing to the growth of clean energy solutions. Key Responsibilities System Installation: Assemble, install, and secure solar panels, racking systems, and related equipment on rooftops or ground-mounted structures according to design specifications and local building codes. Electrical Wiring: Connect solar panels to inverters, batteries, and electrical systems, ensuring proper wiring and compliance with the Electrical Code (NEC) and Maryland regulations. Site Preparation: Assess installation sites, measure and mark layouts, and prepare surfaces for mounting solar equipment. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection systems, and OSHA standards. Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to explain installation processes, answer questions, and ensure a positive customer experience. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other installers, electricians, and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in solar installation, electrical work, roofing, or a related construction field ( but not required for entry-level candidates with strong aptitude). Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in solar installation, electrical systems, or renewable energy is a plus. Skills: Familiarity with hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and electrical testing equipment. Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring principles. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent physical stamina and ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks in various weather conditions. Licensing: Valid Maryland driver's license with a clean driving record. Other Requirements: Must pass a background check. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, as project demands require.
