Alphanumeric is hiring a Project Manager (EHS Construction Technical Authority) to work in Marietta, PA with our client of 20 years committed to improving lives through medical and pharmaceutical advancements. Your key responsibilities are to manage every aspect of the safety and environmental requirements as encountered on large-scale construction projects mandated by local/state/federal authorities, standards and procedures (Safety Handbook) established. You will successfully lead all EHS requirements of the project during the life cycle of the project as summarized below: This role requires full eligibility to work in the USA. We do not offer work visa sponsorships for this position. CONDITIONS : Type of employment: W2 Contract (on-site). MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON A W2 Pay rate: 62$/hour Duration: 1 year Work location: Marietta, PA Working hours: Monday to Friday - Hours may vary (6:30am-3:30pm, etc). Staggered shifts are also possible. On-site role, with the option for potentially working from home once a week. Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Science is preferred. 5+ years of construction safety management experience from large green or brown field multi-year construction projects, preferably in Pharmaceutical, petrochemical, or other regulated industry. Hands-on experience coordinating and leading Construction EHS between all stakeholders, on behalf of the owner Construction Safety experience from large green or brown field multi-year construction projects, preferably in the Pharmaceutical, petrochemical, or other regulated industry. Experience navigating complex organizational structure, EHS requirements from multiple stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Experience setting standards and expectations and implementing them in the field. Experience developing relevant EHS documents. Experience with various safety monitoring and reporting systems. Experience leading job analysis, risk reviews and developing risk mitigation strategies. Experience leading investigations, root cause analysis, failure mode and effect analysis, risk elimination and developing engineering and procedural controls. Experience applying lean/six sigma/DMAIC concepts to solving/enhancing construction safety. Key Responsabilities: A. Preconstruction EHS planning. Become conversant with project details, site conditions, safety requirements (govt, client, and contractors), applicable EHS standards and handbooks, key EHS risks of the project, Project schedule, and key personnel. Provide input to the Contracting and Procurement Strategy. Lead the constructability reviews which should take place at regular intervals. Provide input to the Project Execution Plan and write the Plan's construction execution strategy (PEP section 4). Provide input to the permitting and regulatory requirements. Agree and write the Client's Strategy for Managing Construction EHS. Agreeing responsibility boundaries, project boundaries, emergency responseand permitting strategies with host site EHS Team Agree the process for the Transfer of Responsibility (ToR) or Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) to the MoC if it is to be a site in a site. Commence the preconstruction EHS Information with the Client's Design Coordinator (CDC). Ensure information is included in the selection process. Write the preliminary Construction Safety Plan (pCSP) for inclusion in contractor selection documentation. Ensure all GSK standards are reviewed for each project and only the appropriate sections of standards are included in the pCSP. Authorise all contractors proposed for selection as meeting the construction EHS prequalification process. Authorise the key construction personnel of the preferred contractor(s) before appointment. Ensure that all personnel who directly or indirectly influence performance, including managers, supervisors, and senior leaders, have the necessary level of construction EHS competency (skill, knowledge and experience) B. Assurance of the construction EHS delivery: Approve the MoC's Construction Safety Plan (CSP) before starting any work on site. Ensure the MoC's Safety Schedule is in place and the Construction Performance Noticeboard is displayed prominently before any site work starts. Monitor and control the MoC's performance: othrough a two weekly (max) assurance meeting. oweekly review the Safety Schedule. osite activity inspections and safe system audits oensure the MoC's monitoring and auditing plan is fit for purpose and is taking place. oensure the CSP is regularly reviewed oagree to a plan for capturing bench marking material C. Coordination with the Host Site and Corporate EHS: Maintain frequent communication with project leadership, host site and corporate EHS to ensure that interfaces are managed effectively and the boundaries of EHS responsibility are understood. As assets are completed, ensure that a system to transfer (handover) care, custody and control is in place. At completion of construction, document the ToR for EHS back to the host site.
