WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) is in search of Construction Inspectors in the Carroll, Frederick, and Howard Counties!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
In your role as a Construction Inspector, your primary duties will include:
- Conducting thorough inspections of construction sites, including roadways, bridges, and facilities, to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Documenting and reporting any deviations, defects, or issues discovered during inspections.
- Collaborating with senior inspectors and project engineers to confirm that construction activities meet safety regulations and project requirements.
- Assisting with the review and interpretation of construction plans, special provisions, and technical documents.
- Maintaining clear and accurate inspection records and reports for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Learning and applying industry-specific software and tools for inspection and documentation.
- Participating in team meetings and safety briefings to foster a safe, collaborative work environment.
- Communicating effectively with contractors, project stakeholders, and other team members to address construction-related concerns and provide guidance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and abilities:
- 3+ years of experience
- A high school diploma or a high school equivalent certification
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in math and English
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable means of transportation
- Able to walk over rough and uneven terrain; stand for up to 12 hours a day on occasion; and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting; using hands to grasp and reach; raising hands above the head; sitting; climbing; and balancing
- Able to work in various weather conditions and terrains
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mid-Atlantic Region Technician Certification Program (MARTCP) Soils and Aggregate, Asphalt Field Testing Technician Grade I, Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, and Pavement Marking certifications
- Bridge inspection experience
