Boring Mill Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Manual Boring Mill Machinist to operate our Boring Mill in Dalton. The role involves setting up parts using overhead cranes and forklifts, operating machines, and holding tolerances while machining primarily A36 mild steel and stainless steel.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up parts using overhead cranes and forklifts.
+ Operate boring mills and hold required tolerances.
+ Machine A36 mild steel and stainless steel.
+ Use micrometers and precision measuring instruments.
+ Operate overhead cranes with up to 50-ton capacity.
+ Operate fork trucks and man lifts.
+ Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Minimum of 2 years experience with horizontal mills or boring mills.
+ Experience with forklift and overhead crane operations.
+ Proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic lifts.
+ Ownership of 0-6" calipers, 0-3" micrometers, indicators, and tools for machine setup.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with CNC Boring Mills.
+ Previous work experience with large steel companies.
+ Experience with operating 50-ton overhead cranes.
