**TITLE: HVAC 2**\

**CONTRACT TERMS:**12-month\

**SALARY CLASSIFICATION:**Support Staff Salary Schedule Group H

**GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:**\

\

To ensure the health and safety of students, staff and the general

public by ensuring the efficient operation of district mechanical and

kitchen equipment.\

\

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

- Completes assigned preventive maintenance and repair work orders in

the district, for mechanical systems and kitchen equipment;

- Performs maintenance and repairs such as refrigeration, electrical,

plumbing, and controls as related to mechanical systems and kitchen

equipment, under direction of HVAC Tech.

- Examines mechanical systems and kitchen equipment on a regular basis

to determine the type of repairs and maintenance required;

- Assists with monitoring for and compliance with all applicable codes

and regulations;

- Operates welding and cutting equipment;

- Participates in various training sessions to upgrade skills;

- Performs other tasks as assigned.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**\

**A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE**

- High school diploma or equivalent;

- Two years of HVAC/R and kitchen equipment experience;

- Ability to communicate and work well with staff and the general

public;

- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona drivers license;

- Ability to obtain an appropriate EPA CFC certification.

**B. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

- Ability to lift 75 lbs. without assistance.

associated with HVAC replacement or repairs;\

**C PUBLIC CONTACT:** Interacts primarily with staff, faculty and

the general public;\

**D. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:** Must use sound judgment in

performing job;\

**EVALUATION PROCEDURE**: In accordance with provisions specified in

Governing Board policy;\

**SUPERVISION RECEIVED:**Reports to the HVAC Technician.\
