G.M.S. Contracting is hiring a Foreman to run a service truck and operate independently across a wide range of commercial facility maintenance projects.
We are a growing, reputable commercial maintenance company looking for a dependable, skilled technician with leadership qualities whos ready to take ownership of their route and deliver high-quality results with minimal oversight.
Position Summary:
The Foreman will lead field operations on a day-to-day basis, handling a variety of trade tasks, coordinating with our office, and ensuring all work is performed professionally and on schedule. This position is best suited for a self-starter who values consistency, independence, and integrity in their work.
Scope of Work:
Light Electrical: Replace outlets, light fixtures, troubleshoot minor issues
Light Plumbing: Toilets, faucets, small leaks, supply lines
Carpentry: Framing, door repair/installation, drywall patching, baseboard installs
Painting: Primarily commercial patch and paint, both touch-ups and full walls
Work Schedule:
Hours: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Overtime: Available when required (emergency work, special projects, etc.)
On-Call: Occasional rotation for emergency service calls
Requirements:
5+ years hands-on experience in the building trades
Proven ability to work independently and manage daily tasks
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
English fluency (spoken and written)
Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Must pass a drug screening (no tolerance for hard drugs)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate basic power tools
Compensation & Benefits:
$32.00/hr to start
Health insurance after 6 months
401(k) retirement plan
Company truck, fuel card, and tools provided
Paid weekly, direct deposit available
Long-term opportunity with room to grow into a supervisory or operations role
