We are currently seeking a Cost Estimator to support our quoting, pricing, and project planning activities. This role is essential to developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for aerospace components and assemblies by analyzing blueprints, technical specifications, and manufacturing processes.

Cost Estimator:

Key Responsibilities:

Review customer drawings, models, and technical documents to develop accurate cost estimates.

Identify material, labor, and outside process requirements for each job.

Analyze manufacturing methods, process times, and vendor quotes to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.

Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams to validate estimates.

Assist in preparing formal quotes for submission to customers.

Track historical data and update estimating tools with current material and labor rates.

Support pricing strategy discussions and assist with bid reviews.

Ensure estimates align with customer specifications and internal cost targets.

Qualifications:

2+ years experience in cost estimating, quoting, or pricing in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with aerospace materials, machining processes, and outside services (e.g., anodizing, NDT, plating).

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., JobBOSS, Oracle, Pentagon) and Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, or aerospace quality standards is a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or Bachelors degree in manufacturing, engineering, or business is a plus.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
