POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various carpentry tasks, from rough in to finishes. This role requires a strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results on diverse projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have knowledge of and experience in maintenance or a maintenance-related field.
- Must be mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and receptive to complete tasks at hand.
- Must be in good physical condition to accomplish tasks & jobs such as climbing ladders and working on rooftops.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.
- Minimum education of a high school diploma or GED.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must be in good physical condition to accomplish projects & job demands. The employee must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of dead weight alone.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Various working conditions, both weather-related, office environment, and home environments involving HUD apartments.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials such as wood, fiberglass, plywood, and drywall.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and other construction apparatus.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, stairs, and hardware.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs.
- Perform finish carpentry tasks, including installing trim, molding, cabinets, and other decorative elements.
- Repair or replace damaged frameworks and other structures.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including project managers, supervisors, and other trade workers.
- Assist with other maintenance-related urgent and non-urgent tasks when needed
