Senior Specialist Civil Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Specialist Civil Engineer in Tucker, GA to perform Hydrology / Hydraulic (H&H) design and modeling of drainage systems.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related field and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience in civil design for Heavy Industrial Projects.
• Of the required experience, must have 8 years of experience in Hydrology / Hydraulic design and modeling utilizing Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Hydraflow Express, or similar.
• Of the required experience, must have 6 years of experience in grading design utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar.
• Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with construction general permitting at the local, State, and National level for Heavy Industrial Projects, which must include verifying the duration of the permitting process and how to incorporate them into a project schedule.

• Create rough draft and final grading design.
• Incorporate H&H and grading design results into AutoCAD Civil3D to produce "For Construction" level documents.
• Manage the preparation of construction documents such as drawings and specifications as related to the civil site and infrastructure.
• Interact with specialists in other technical practice areas in support of multi-disciplinary projects.
