The City of Rogers is accepting applications for a part-time Building Inspector 2.
The Building Inspector is responsible for inspecting residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards. This role involves reviewing construction plans, conducting on-site inspections throughout various stages of construction, documenting findings, and providing guidance to contractors, developers, and property owners. The Building Inspector plays a critical role in safeguarding public health and safety by ensuring buildings are constructed and maintained to code.
Minimum qualifications include BIT program or Construction Management Certification or greater, Certified Building Official Certification, strong knowledge of local, state, and national building codes and regulations, three years of plan review experience, and five years of building or other trade inspection experience.
