Job Description
New Journey, a Genesis10pany, is seeking a HVAC Technician for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.
Compensation: $33.00 per hour
The HVAC Technician will perform and/or direct various preventive maintenance and repairs within local campus. This will include hands-on work toplete the necessary work within the clients' standards and guidelines.
Perform and assist in identification and implementation of OM&R Strategies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient Buildings, Building Systems, and equipment within a campus-basedplex with multiple buildings in close proximity.
Execute quality control audits and inspections conducted throughout the territory and deficiency reports provided to supervisors.
Provide technical assistance, training, and support in advanced building operations, troubleshooting, and hands-on repair guidance in support of teams within a territory
Perform other work to include hands-on repair & maintenance work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, card access systems, door & gates systems, building envelope systems, grounds and parking lots, interior finish systems, lighting systems, and various other R&M tasks associated with operation of amercial property.
Ability to effectively manage diverse relationships with team members, contractors, client, and customers.
Possess hands on skills and knowledge toplete required repairs and maintenance onmercial Building and Building Systems (including but not limited to: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Vertical Transportation, Life Safety, Roofs, Structure, Parking lots and roads) using industry standard tools and in accordance with all codes, laws, and regulations
Perform preventive maintenance and repair service work on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC,
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent, technical training or degree.
HVAC Certification
Universal EPA / CFC license
5+ Years Commercial HVAC experience
Ability to effectively useputers andputer programs (including use of Microsoft Office Suite)
Skill in use of the internet to navigate to and use web-based applications.
Ability to work with CMMS, ABS, and BMS programs
Ability to use handheld electronic devices (PDA, Blackberry, cell phone, etc.)
Possess excellentmunications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to create, modify and edit processes, procedures, and reports
Preferred Skills/Experience:
NFPA 70E
OSHA 10
Vocation degree program, apprenticeship.
Higher Education (i.e. College or University)
