Haul Unit Operator

Line of Business: Aggregates Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. What You'll Be Doing Operate a 70 ton haul truck to transport rock products from the underground mine to the processing plant and stockpiles as directed Able and willing to work in an underground limestone mine environment with room heights of 27 feet tall Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Assist with other tasks as needed to support plant operations. What Are We Looking For Strong understanding of equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to safety, compliance with regulations and desire to learn. Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed. Willing to work up to 10-12 hrs/day; 6 days/wk when needed Must be punctual and have reliable transportation Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
