About the Position

The company is seeking a BIM/VDC Manager to join their growing team in the tax free state of South Dakota. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the 3D design and coordination of BIM/VDC drawings for large-scale commercial plumbing projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure digital models translate into successful on-site installations. This is an opportunity to lead innovation and drive value from preconstruction through project delivery, using BIM/VDC to optimize coordination, reduce conflicts, and improve buildability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and coordination of BIM/VDC models for commercial plumbing systems

Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure design intent is fully integrated

Perform clash detection and resolve design issues using Navisworks or similar tools

Coordinate with field teams to support layout, prefabrication, and installation

Develop and maintain BIM execution plans, standards, and best practices

Mentor junior modelers/designers and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

5+ years of experience in BIM/VDC modeling, preferably in the commercial construction or MEP sector

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related BIM software

Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and construction sequencing

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and models

Experience with coordination meetings and integrated project delivery (IPD) is a plus

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
