Talascend is currently seeking a Powertrain Project Manager for an opportunity in Warren, MI.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support for all integration activities
Serve as primary interface for cost, timing, program planning, launch support, and issue resolution
Collaborate closely with plant launch teams and indirect reports
Apply understanding of software, calibration, and issue triage to ensure successful powertrain integration
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering (or related field) from an ABET-accredited university (or equivalent)
5+ years of experience in design, development, and program management across broad powertrain functions or vehicle engineering (e.g., engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, controls, calibration)
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Understanding of product development processes, validation, KPIs, and gate reviews
Must be comfortable with potential travel and in-plant responsibilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA from an ABET-accredited university (or equivalent)
Knowledge of vehicle cost processes and ER D roll-up
Familiarity with CN (Change Notice) and CCD (Common Change Document) processes
Significant knowledge of automotive industry and competitive benchmarking
Full program life cycle experience
Previous experience as a Resident or Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment
