Handyman (4 positions for immediate hire)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Handyman to join our property management team. This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for maintaining the physical condition and appearance of multi-family residential buildings. The ideal candidate will have strong plumbing expertise and be proficient in a wide range of building trades, including HVAC, electrical, framing, drywall, painting, and carpentry. You must be a self-starter with excellent troubleshooting ability, time management skills, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
Plumbing (Primary Focus):
Diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems, including:

Leaking pipes and fixtures

Clogged drains and toilets

Sink, faucet, shower, and bathtub installation and repair

Garbage disposals, dishwashers, and water supply lines

Water heater repairs and replacements

Shut-off valve installations and emergency plumbing response

Compliance with building codes and water-saving regulations

HVAC:
Basic to intermediate servicing of HVAC systems (filters, thermostats, fan motors, etc.)

Diagnose and coordinate repairs or replacements with licensed HVAC technicians when needed

Seasonal inspections and maintenance

Electrical:
Replace light fixtures, ceiling fans, switches, and outlets

Troubleshoot tripped breakers and minor electrical issues

Perform basic wiring tasks when needed

Maintain emergency lighting systems and smoke/CO detectors

Framing, Drywall, and Carpentry:
Frame and repair walls, doors, windows, and moldings

Patch, tape, and texture drywall

Install shelves, cabinetry, baseboards, and trim

Repair door frames and thresholds

Painting & Finishing:
Perform touch-up and full interior painting as needed during unit turns

Maintain clean and professional finishes in common areas

General Maintenance & Property Care:
Perform preventative maintenance per schedule

Repair or replace appliances

Maintain landscaping, irrigation, walkways, and signage as needed

Clean, maintain, and organize maintenance areas, tools, and equipment

Perform snow removal, pressure washing, or other seasonal tasks (if applicable)

Assist with emergency calls and after-hours issues on a rotating schedule
