The Installation Foreman is responsible for the quality of the work performed on the job and completion within budget. The Foreman is required to effectively and efficiently manage all resources assigned to a job/project. A Foreman is responsible to work with other trades on the site including but not limited to general contractors, electricians, and cable and wire installers. A Foreman is responsible for providing informal and formal feedback on the performance of both internal and external manpower.

- Supervises a crew for the delivery, staging, and building of product and completion of installations or moves.
- Reviews job plans/folders to ensure job/project is completed within the customers expectations and deadlines.
- Keeps detailed records as needed regarding all activities of the job and communicates this information to customers, project managers, sales representatives, management, and schedulers.
- Obtains necessary sign offs from customers and documents any changes to the original scope of the job via Open Issue forms. The Foreman may be expected to participate in determining labor requirements and labor pricing on an as needed basis.
- Reviews installation job folders to ensure all proper paperwork and information is provided and accurate. Looks for potential problems and ensures that all necessary tools, parts, and equipment are available.
- Attends job meetings when required and interacts with various internal/external parties to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Completes daily time / job sheets including departure and arrival times for all manpower on the job.
- Provide project managers, schedulers, and salespeople with daily progress reports.
- Trains new installers on product, installations, reconfigurations, and policies and procedures.
- Loads or assists in loading of product and equipment into assigned vehicle when necessarymay be required to drive company vehicle.
- Provides formal feedback to management on the performance of internal/ external manpower. Participates in the performance appraisal process for employees.
- Ensures company vehicles and equipment are tracked and in good condition, notifying management of any concerns or problems.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean vehicle and making sure trash and equipment are removed at the end of each day.
- Responsible for conducting routine vehicle inspections in accordance with company policy, including daily completion and submission to the Fleet Manager of vehicle check off paperwork.
- Observes all safety policies and procedures. Inspects sites for possible safety issues prior to installation.
- Installs product as part of the crew with other team members or contractors assigned to a project, using power tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- BA/BS in related field, or additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation.
- At least 2+ years experience in a shop environment and painting/finishing experience.
- Experience in making technical presentations and demonstrating technology products preferred.
- Minimum of five years of field experience in the repair of heavy construction equipment.
- Valid drivers license, clean driving record and DOT medical card for appropriate vehicles.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and thorough when completing work tasks.
- Ability to look at flat drawings or pictures and understand how they will look as solid objects.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work within precise standard of accuracy and rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
- Must have technical skills to proficiently run shop equipment like table saw, routers, and skill saw.
- Must be able to follow oral and written directions, plans, and blueprints.
