Job Title: Structural Engineer

Salary: Starting at $90,000
Under general direction, the main responsibilities of this Professional Engineer will include new projects specifically requiring stamps of approval in Florida, California, or any other location that should require a PE approval for walk in refrigeration in a hurricane, earthquake or other type of application.
Examples of Duties
- Collaborate regularly with project teams responsible for precise execution of highly profitable projects requiring custom engineered solutions.
- Complete and manage all correspondence of project work as a liaison between engineering and sales.
- Hold trainings as necessary for sales teams, dealers, and other outside groups to help and address issues in the field or new technologies.
- Maintain multiple licenses to keep RSG equipped to do business.
- This will include whatever continuous learning required from state to state.
- Help the engineering project management team maintain a high level of excellence in keeping up to date with NPD processes.
- This will require reaching out to specific engineering staff to organize meetings
- Work directly with the compliance manager to accomplish departmental goals.
- Some travel across manufacturing facilities will be required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Considerable knowledge of refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Considerable knowledge of sheet metal design is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (preferred) or other computer-aided design software.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively regarding complex and highly technical subject matter.
- Skill in planning and organizing work including projects of significant complexity.
- Ability to evaluate data, troubleshoot problems, and generate solutions.
- Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Project.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- PE is required.
- Preferred in California or Florida.
- SE in California is ideal.
- Preferably 5 years of work experience as a PE in project management.
