Electro-Mechanical Technician (Multiple Positions) , Becton Dickinson and Company , Columbus , NE . Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electronic and mechanical equipment, including industrial controls, computers, and servo-mechanisms. Follow and read blueprints and manufacturer specifications. Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on equipment. Support engineering projects such as the ordering and installation of new equipment. Work closely with the Controls group to understand and modify PLC programs and maintain PLC ladder logic programs. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Propose design changes and review with engineers to update equipment, eliminate reoccurring problems, and reduce costs. Maintain parts inventory. Assist with training operators.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

High school diploma, or foreign equivalent diploma, and two (2) years of related work experience.

Must have two (2) years of experience with/in:

• Applying understanding of and performing maintenance of electric, mechanical and pneumatic systems in medical industry processes;
• Proficient with multimeter and amp meters to test electrical circuits and components;
• Reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to install new equipment;
• Training new or junior team members on machine issues;
• Producing electrical and mechanical drawings or graphics using design software;
• Providing engineering support in implementing mechanical designs; and
• Performing mechanical repairs and maintaining accurate records.
