DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Electrical Cost Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost engineering, estimating, and project management, with a focus on electrical contracting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Code and Progress Tracking: Assist field and office supervision to accurately monitor, update, and maintain project cost.

  • Billing Management: Assist with oversite of subcontractor invoicing, ensuring accuracy, and adherence to contract terms.

  • Time and Material Estimating: Develop accurate estimates for time and material work.

  • Change Order Estimating: Assist in takeoff, estimation, and tracking of project change orders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in cost management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical preferred), Construction Management or similar from an accredited university desired. HS Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Five (5) + years of relative experience including estimating large-scale, complex electrical projects and negotiating with the client.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes.

  • Ability to operate in both field and office environments.
