RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review blueprints and building code specifications to determine work details and procedures
- Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Install and maintain electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and control systems.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment to excavate trenches, install duct banks, and backfill, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Execute the installation of electrical duct banks and conduits according to engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces or adverse weather conditions.
- Adhere to all electrical safety standards, including OSHA regulations and state/local electrical codes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with a focus on underground or industrial electrical work
- Proficient with electrical processes & codes
- Competent with reading blueprints, drawings, & diagrams
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Complete / pass pre-employment checks to work on a federal installation
