K&T Steel Corp is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance person. Employee to be responsible for all troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance for facility and equipment. Duties include: Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities Complete work orders, order parts, and other maintenance documentation Ability to repair, install, rebuild, troubleshoot and preventative maintenance of steel fabrication equipment, welders, grinders, shears, overhead cranes etc. Capable of performing equipment lubrication. Follows and understands standard operating procedure and work area instructions, participates in safety and environmental activities, uses shop and equipment correctly at all times. Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to business need. Qualifications: Two (2) years' experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, welding, plumbing, schematics, steel fabrication, and parts lists and repair Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instruction and procedures, and applicable safety standards High School Diploma or GED preferred. Criteria/Conditions Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed boots, fall protection, gloves and other protective equipment While performing duties of his job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated lifts. May be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds during the course of the work day.
