POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing maintenance, repair and rebuilding of production equipment which may include building and grounds, including preventive maintenance.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform diagnostic and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, electric motors, gas valves and burners, and pneumatic and hydraulic controls and pumps.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Repair production machinery to ensure minimum downtime.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Assist in the design of unique tooling to expand production capabilities.
- Work with internal resources to identify opportunities for machine technology integration.
- Work with internal and external resources to ensure technical, cost, and schedule requirements are met.
- Assist machine operators with set-ups as needed.
- Understand and follow ISO procedures.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Report immediately to the supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
- Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company standards and policies.
- Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Basic carpentry - plumbing/HVAC/electrical
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Ability to operate machines including, but not limited to milling machine, bar code reader, computer terminal, other electronic devices, aerial lifts, and forklift.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
- Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast-paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
- Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
- Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
- Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
- Understand and follow ISO & OSHA procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
- Two plus years of electrical experience.
- Two plus years of experience with gas valves, burners, pumps, and pneumatic/hydraulic controls.
Preferred:
- Previous welding experience.
- Previous experience managing a preventive maintenance program.

The employee may be required to work with hazardous materials. The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, electrical hazards, and flames. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works with moving machinery and occasionally in outside weather.
Starting hourly pay range: $27.00 - $34.00
