Job Description As an HVAC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and hydronic distribution systems, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation, and controls. You will perform system design calculations, analyze mechanical system options using industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software, and ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and standards. Additionally, you will prepare design documents detailing mechanical systems in basis of design reports, drawings (Revit), and specification formats. Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems such as heating, cooling, and air distribution.
- Perform system design calculations and analyze options with industry-standard software.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
- Prepare detailed design documents in Revit and specification formats.
- Review design deliverables for technical accuracy and presentation quality.
- Coordinate work with architects and engineers of other disciplines.
- Work on mission-critical and healthcare projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-15 years of experience as an HVAC Design Engineer.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects.
- Self-motivated with strong collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Good planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- EIT/PE certification.
