General Laborer**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer/Forklift Operator to join our busy industrial site. The role involves sorting and grading metals, working directly with customers, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds. Initial training will focus on safety protocols, followed by hands-on experience in the sorting warehouse, learning about different alloys and products. Once proficient, you will receive training on operating sit-down, gas-powered forklifts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Sort and grade metals accurately.
+ Interact with customers to receive incoming products and materials.
+ Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
+ Learn and operate sit-down, gas-powered forklifts once trained.
+ Ensure safety standards are followed at all times.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with materials handling and general labor duties.
+ Familiarity with hand and power tools.
+ Basic mechanical knowledge.
+ Ability to work in an industrial environment exposed to the elements.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in roles such as construction, landscaping, hardscaping, or logging.
+ Comfortable working outdoors and interfacing with customers.

This position is within a large, busy facility that operates mostly outdoors and near the elements, requiring interaction with a variety of customers. The environment can be dirty and involves heavy traffic with tractor trailers and large machinery. Steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hard hats, high-visibility vests, and gloves are mandatory, with all PPE provided except boots. The company remains operational in all weather conditions unless a state of emergency is declared.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Concord, New Hampshire.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
