This is for temporary, full-time peakload or seasonal employment. Duties include: - Production Laborers unload potatoes and put rotten, misshapen, or green potatoes and rocks into wheelbarrows to be dumped. - Monitor machines that wash, size, and box potatoes. - Manage quality control by ensuring the sorting machine correctly separates potatoes by size and throws cut, rotten potatoes, and rocks down chutes to be dumped. - Monitor machines that drop potatoes by size into bags and boxes; manage quality control by ensuring potato size and box weight are correct. - Fold boxes; send boxes through automatic tapers; mark and label containers, container tags, or products using stickers and marking tools; and stack tied bags and taped boxes on pallets. - Trim bruises and blemishes off potatoes using knives. - Pull big potatoes off conveyer belt, place in barrels, and wheel to fry station. - Lift and dump whole potatoes on auger to process fries. - Scoop up finished fries, bag fries to weight specifications, tie bag with hand crank. - Use pallet jacks to dump crates of potatoes into machine to cut, slice, or shred potatoes. - Ensure weight of packaged bags, pack bags into boxes, send through automatic taper, and stack finished product on pallets. - Stack crates into a dishwasher and, when cleaned, stack on a pallet. - Clean the equipment and machinery at end of day; set up the next process for the next day. - Perform extra detailed cleaning in the plant at end of each week. Requirements: Production Laborers must work under conditions that require standing for long periods of time, and lifting up to 100 lbs. Wage: $22.39/per hour , based on experience. Overtime available at $33.60 per hour based on hourly rate. 40 hours per week. 7:00AM to 5:00 PM, M-F. Job opportunity is temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksite in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 33 Point of Rocks Road, Whitehall, MT 59759 address in Madison County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites. Single work week will be used to compute wages due. Pay period is biweekly. Employer will make all deductions from workers paycheck required by law. Housing is provided. The offered housing is optional and free to workers. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the workers is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs for return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the workers originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first week of work for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). the employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training on the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees, as required by law, to offer work for the hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of the total employment period.
