Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues with rental equipment, as well as repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems. You will troubleshoot and repair diesel engines from brands such as Perkins, Mitsubishi, Yanmar, and Kubota, ensuring they perform optimally. Your duties will also include performing regular maintenance tasks, adjusting, aligning, and calibrating systems, and providing excellent customer service by explaining repair needs and processes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with rental equipment.
+ Repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair Perkins, Mitsubishi, Yanmar, Kubota diesel engines.
+ Test parts and systems to ensure proper performance.
+ Perform regular maintenance work, such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
+ Adjust, align, and calibrate systems to ensure proper functioning.
+ Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
+ Troubleshoot and repair engines and pumps.
+ Provide customer service and explain repair needs and processes.
+ Diagnose, triage, and inspect units for fixing.
+ Change alternators, batteries, compressors, starters, fuel pumps, and perform injector work on up to 4-cylinder motors.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of experience as a construction mechanic or working on industrial machinery.
+ Proficiency with hand tools, including pneumatic and manual tools.
+ Mechanical troubleshooting, assembly, service, welding, hydraulics, installation, preventive maintenance.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
+ Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines.
+ Possess formal mechanic training from a trade school or accredited institution.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
+ Familiarity with all safety protocols and procedures.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
+ Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (70 lbs).
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
