Toll Brothers, seeks a Pre-Construction Project Engineer for one of our luxury communities located in Jersey City, New Jersey. What is the opportunity?

The Pre-Construction Project Engineer is an integral part of the project team and is responsible for assisting the VP in Purchasing, Budgeting and Estimating for mixed use hi-rise residential projects.

What are the primary responsibilities?

  • Baseline proficiency in reading and understanding design documents including Architectural, MEPS, Structural, Civil and associated Specifications.
  • Collaborate with the design team of Architects, Engineers and Consultants for drawing development and Value Engineering Efforts.
  • Develop detailed trade scopes of work, hold descope meetings and prepare levelized bid sheets prior to award meetings.
  • Prepare final contracts and authorizing documentation, comply with national and divisional policies and controls.Seek out and prequalify new trade partners, build and maintain effective relationships with new and existing trade partners, maintain master subcontractor/vendor Lists.
  • Provide material take-offs of design documents to aid in the development of a construction budget.
  • Maintain historic cost database and prepare high level construction budgets for future hi-rise residential projects.

Qualifications

Do you have these qualifications?

Essential:

  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5+ years experience in construction industry, residential homebuilding experience a plus.
  • 1-2+ years in purchasing and/or estimating

Preferred:

  • Proficient with Microsoft software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).
  • Proficient with Bluebeam Studio
  • Familiar with Procore and Docusign applications.

The salary for this position is $88,000-$135,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus and a monthly mobile device allowance.
