Civil Construction Estimator

Gpac, a trusted and nationally recognized recruitment firm, is partnering with a top-tier General Contractor to find a talented Civil Construction Estimator . Position Overview: The Civil Estimator will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for site development, utility, roadway, and earthwork projects. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, a strong understanding of civil construction methods, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope

• Perform quantity take-offs and material pricing using estimating software

• Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors

• Participate in bid reviews and assist in developing proposals

• Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure alignment with scope and budget

• Maintain and update cost databases, vendor contacts, and bid history

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in civil construction estimating (site development, utilities, earthwork, etc.)

• Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar platforms

• Strong knowledge of construction documents, codes, and industry standards

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
