Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using ANSYS, FEMAP with NX NASTRAN, or similar tools.
- Integrate ice protection systems into aerospace structures (e.g., wings, tails, fairings, engine intakes).
- Optimize structural integration to meet performance and safety standards.
- Support electronic component packaging and assess compliance with thermal and inertial requirements.
- Develop and validate finite element models for static, dynamic, and thermal loads.
- Conduct failure, fatigue, stress, and damage tolerance analyses.
- Perform hand calculations to validate FEA results and derive margins of safety.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure design integrity.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Select materials and processes in line with technical specifications.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering (aerospace preferred; automotive considered).
- Proficiency in FEA software (ANSYS, FEMAP, NX NASTRAN, etc.).
- Strong understanding of material properties, structural mechanics, and industry standards.
- Experience with composite materials is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr.
