A busy attic and crawlspace insulation business is seeking a part time insulation contractor who is experience with installing loose fill insulation in attics, crawlspace batting insulation in floor joists and rim joists, and foam board around crawlspace perimeters. We have been operating and providing these services in the central island communities for 10 years.
This position is a part-time mornings only due to the summer heat but if you are a team player and demonstrate a good work ethic, you will be advanced in hours, responsibilities, and pay with industry training opportunities over time.
WHAT WE OFFER
$25. to $28. / hr to start depending experience
A travel benefit for longer-distance jobs
Weekly pay etransfers
PPE you only need steel toe shoes
We rarely work weekends
Time off if requested in advance (you don't have to wait for holidays)
Birthdays off with pay
Room for advancement if you work hard and get along with the team
WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum of 1 year experience working as an insulation installer (Preference will be given to applicants who hold Home Performance Stakeholder Council-HPSC-Insulation Certificates)
You are a team player who does not mind pitching in on any work needed to be done
You must live in the Comox Valley or Campbell River area
You must have a valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation
You dont have a criminal record
You dont have any injuries or physical limitations
You can lift 50 lbs and work on your knees for long periods of time
You are comfortable in small spaces
You have good eyes and dont need glasses - you can't wear glasses under a full-face mask
You are clean-shaven - this is an industry requirement for PPE
You speak fluent English, this requirement is for safety reasons as good communication is imperative and is a challenge with loud machines running and a mask on
You get along well with others
You have a strong work ethic - show up for work on time and take pride in your work
