(Miscellaneous and Ornamental Metals)
Location: Fairfax, VA

A miscellaneous and ornamental contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Healthcare Facility, Schools, Sports Stadiums and other impresssive construction projects acoss the United States. This position must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have specific project management experience in miscellaneous and ornamental metal fabrication and/or erection to be considered.

Project Manager Duties:

• Coordinating with detailers to monitor progress of construction drawings.
• Identifying, requesting and following up on required information from architects and engineers.
• Performing field measurements.
• Coordinating with other trades, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Scheduling production and delivery of materials.
• Scheduling and overseeing erection.
• Resolving job site problems.
• Pricing and issuing change order requests and negotiating change orders with General Contractors, Construction Managers, or Owners.
• Working with accounting on job cost estimates and other financial matters.
• Issuing close out documents.
• Developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Developing and maintaining erector relationships and capabilities.
• Traveling to job sites (mostly day trips within driving distance).

Project Manager Skills and Requirements:

• Position requires 3+ years project management experience in steel fabrication/installation
• Experience on projects ranging between $500k-$5M
• Prior experience with sales, cost-estimating and/or project management, misc. metal fabrication/installation
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
