Welder

We are seeking a skilled welder with hands-on experience in welding galvanized steel components. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG and/or TIG welding techniques and understand the unique challenges of working with zinc-coated materials, including fume safety and weld preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Weld galvanized steel using appropriate techniques (MIG, TIG, or Stick)

Prepare surfaces by removing zinc coating in weld zones to prevent porosity and ensure strong bonds

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols

Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity

Follow all safety protocols, especially those related to galvanized material fumes

Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean, organized work area

Qualifications:

2+ years of welding experience, with specific exposure to galvanized materials

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements

Ability to work in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead)

Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) preferred
