Forklift Operator $16.50/hr. 7a-7p: M-F Job Description We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant through safe and efficient material handling. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and tow motors, collaborating with the shipping and receiving team, and supporting various plant operations. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and tow motors safely. Assist in moving materials throughout the plant and various stations. Collaborate with the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely completion of tasks. Document necessary paperwork and conduct inventory counts. Provide support to other areas as directed by the supervisor. Essential Skills Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment. Forklift experience required. Ability to pass a BG and drug screen (not testing for THC). Basic computer skills. Effective communication skills to respond to questions from various organizational levels. Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Capability to perform basic visual quality inspections on products. Ability to maintain production pace with team members. Additional Skills & Qualifications Steel toe work boots required. Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing/production facility that is non-climate controlled. Be prepared to work in various weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and cold. The position requires standing for long periods, typically 12 hours a day, and may involve repetitive motions, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of materials. A minimum of 40 hours of work per week is expected. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DUBLIN, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
