The City of Lebanon is looking for an experienced professional to join the Planning and Development Department as an Electrical Inspector. The Electrical Inspector performs administrative, technical and inspection work conducting all electrical inspections and other building, plumbing, and mechanical inspections for the city, reviews all project plans for all plans for compliance with electrical and other applicable codes, and providing training on electrical and safety code issues. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducts electrical inspections throughout the City, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety codes.Conducts office reviews of building and electrical plans and schematics to determine if there are any violations or safety issues and for compliance with electrical code. May assist with conducting, framing, footing, foundation, mechanical and plumbing inspections.Conducts building walk-throughs in the presence of contractors and owners in order to identify punch-lists of work issues in need of resolution.When conducting plan reviews and when on-site, reviews for zoning setbacks and compliance.Prepare inspection reports on field visits for each site, ensuring report if filed accordingly.Maintains positive public relations when in the field.Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates. Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 five years' experience in the electrical field, or an associate degree with the equivalent electrical field experience or equivalent. Other combinations of education and experience that qualify an individual to perform the requisite job duties and responsibilities may be considered. Licenses and Certifications:NH Master or Journeyman Electrical license preferredValid driver's license with a good driving recordAbility to become ICC certified in Electrical and Residential inspections within 6 months & Commercial Electrical Inspections within 1 year .
