Description
The Production Scheduler role supports all site-based supply chain and logistics activities, including close work and alignment with Operations, meticulous inventory tracking and stewardship, and daily ERP transactions. The position plays an important role in service delivery, supporting plant objectives, and adhering to site HSE programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Support
- Work with Logistics & Customer Support Associate to understand customer needs and requests, and arrange production and material availability to maximize on-time and in-full customer fulfillment
- Ensure customer asset footprint is efficient, working with the Operations and Commercial team to ensure that customer storage needs are planned, assigned, and incorporated in customer agreements
- Lead site accountability for service level of manufacturing and outbounds, raising improvement opportunities to the Supply Chain Director and communicating progress of existing initiatives
Manufacturing and Logistics Operations
- Provide direction and leadership to Manufacturing resources, e.g. loading operators and control room operators, to orchestrate site manufacturing, movements to storage tanks, and shipping of product
- Perform accurate and real-time ERP transactions to accept raw materials, create and receipt manufacturing batches, and ship product; mirror these transactions in customer ERP, in select cases
- Collaborate with Logistics & Customer Support Associate to ensure all customer orders and communications reflect latest production plans, and any delays or changes are proactively shared
- Oversee and manage inventories and the inventory control process for ALTIVIA Oxide Chemicals; maintain physical and ERP inventories and minimize discrepancies; be accountable for variances during end-of-month inventory counts and the resulting adjustments to ERP inventory
- Analyze raw material throughput and oxides inventories, accounting for all purchase and sale transactions and updating BOM's as needed
- Liaise with Manufacturing to ensure safe and compliant movements and storage, in accordance with all PSM requirements and DOT regulations, and rigorous management of change; complete any assigned action items and participate in incident investigations as requested
Supply Chain
- Contribute to product loading and shipping schedules, led by Logistics & Customer Support Associate
- Lead material requirements planning (MRP), working with Logistics & Customer Support Associate and Procurement Analyst
- Contribute to projects and product commercialization, working with Engineering and Commercial teams
- Cross-train Logistics & Customer Support Associate so that these two roles may backfill one another
- Maintain a process inventory of all job tasks and end-to-end supply chain processes, periodically audit
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic math calculations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a business-related field preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
- Prior work in logistics, manufacturing, or order fulfillment
