Currin Outdoor Living is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Field Manager who would manage the quality of all maintenance and enhancement jobs at our company. In this role, you will be tasked with making sure all maintenance jobs are of up most quality and that proper care and enhancement practices are being carried out. We are seeking someone to lead and manage our installation crews.

Compensation & Benefits:

+ $65,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

+ Strategic Leadership: Research and develop cutting-edge maintenance practices and policies to optimize efficiency and quality. You'll drive our team toward continuous improvement.

+ Team Management: Lead, manage, and hold accountable our dedicated landscape crews. This includes interviewing and hiring new talent, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

+ Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, including setting crews up, routing, and scheduling. You'll also prepare accurate estimates and proposals to secure new business.

+ Client & Crew Support: Conduct weekly client visits, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for service expansion. You'll also be instrumental in training and assisting crews in the field, making sure they're equipped for success.

+ Landscape Expertise: Ensure the highest standards of landscape care through best practices for pruning, weeding, mowing, and other horticultural practices. This also includes you managing irrigation start-ups and shut-downs, basic set up, and adjustments.

+ Pest & Disease Management: You'll be responsible for spraying herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides. We require you to obtain a valid license within 90 days of hire if you don't already have one.

+ Equipment Operation: Proficiently operate a variety of landscape equipment to support daily operations.

+ Growth & Development: Driven to obtaining more clients, doing more, and adding more services. Your entrepreneurial spirit will be key to our expansion.

+ Reporting & Communication: Prepare detailed inspection reports and utilize Google Suite effectively for all administrative tasks and communication along with LMN.

Required Experience:

+ Education: An Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Horticulture or a related field preferred.

+ Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in landscape maintenance management.

+ Licenses: Willingness and ability to obtain necessary licenses for herbicide/pesticide application within 90 days of hire.

+ Tools: Proficiency with Google Suite.

+ Valid Drivers License with clean driving record.

+ Eligibility to work in the United States.

+ Ability to work in-person in North Carolina.

+ Ability to operate basic landscape equipment.

+ Ability to drive a light duty dump truck and have trailering experience.

Ideal Qualifications & Skills:

+ Excellent knowledge of pruning techniques for shrubs and small trees, encompassing structural, aesthetic, and corrective techniques based on season and plant type.

+ Strong working knowledge of integrated pest management techniques, including pest identification, beneficial insects, chemicals, non-chemical methods, sprayer calibration, and accurate record-keeping.

+ Highly organized and Highly detail-oriented must be able to follow and execute processes, track and maintain to-do lists, comply with deadlines, receive information from multiple sources and act.

+ Excellent speaking and writing skills must be able to communicate on phone and email with clients, vendors, etc. in an effective, professional manner.

+ Strong ability and interest to learn and utilize technology tools and platforms.

+ High level of character and integrity.

+ Be Humble (willing and able to give and receive feedback; able to learn and grow), Hungry (possess a desire to learn, grow, and succeed), and Smart (able to understand and adjust how they relate to other people).

Physical Demands:

The position requires various physical activities, including prolonged standing, walking, stooping, crawling, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, reaching, grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and handling. Other requirements include talking, hearing, depth perception, manual dexterity, and a wide field of vision. Candidates must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.

Work Environment:

The physical demands of this position include being exposed to various outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. You will encounter fluctuating weather patterns and work in both wet and dry environments. This role also involves frequent exposure to high noise levels from equipment and machinery, as well as vibrations from the use of power tools.

Additional environmental exposures include:

+ Proximity to moving mechanical parts, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment.

+ Potential exposure to electrical hazards, particularly when working near or with electrical systems (e.g., lighting or irrigation systems).

+ Atmospheric conditions, such as dust, pollen, and fumes from machinery, fertilizers, or chemicals, requiring proper safety measures.

+ Risk of electrical shock when using certain power tools or working around electrical systems.

+ Working on or near wet, slippery surfaces, or uneven terrain, which may increase the risk of slips and falls.

+ Bee stings and other bug bites
