Pipefitter Full-Time Shelby Township, MI Temp-to-Hire

Cardinal Staffing is seeking experienced Pipefitters for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading automation and machine build company in Shelby Township, MI. Pay Rate: Up to $40/hour, based on experience and certifications Job Summary: The Pipefitter will be responsible for layout, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems used in custom automation equipment. Candidates must be comfortable reading blueprints and working in a high-paced, quality-driven environment. Occasional travel may be required for installations. Key Responsibilities:

• Layout and install industrial piping (air, hydraulic, pneumatic)
• Cut, bend, thread, and weld pipe using appropriate tools and equipment
• Interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical blueprints
• Mount pipe supports and install valves, gauges, and other components
• Pressure-test piping systems and troubleshoot leaks or faults
• Collaborate with build teams, engineers, and quality inspectors
• Adhere to all company, MIOSHA, and OSHA safety standards

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of pipefitting experience in an industrial or automation setting
• Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills
• MIG/TIG welding experience preferred
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus
• Reliable transportation and ability to start on short notice

Shift & Schedule:

• MondayFriday, 6:00 AM 4:30 PM (10-hour days)
• Occasional Saturdays (catch-up shift, not always required)
• 50-hour work weeks typical
