Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of mechanical systems (HVAC, hydronic, energy-efficient systems) from concept through construction documentation

  • Work closely with architects, contractors, and internal project teams to deliver coordinated, high-performance designs

  • Perform HVAC load calculations, energy modeling, and system selections

  • Conduct field assessments and site visits as needed throughout project lifecycle

  • Support project schedules, cost control, and quality assurance efforts

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing



Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Mechanical Engineering

  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical building systems design

  • Experience in healthcare, higher education, research, or commercial sectors preferred

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and related HVAC design tools

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines

  • LEED accreditation a plus
