A construction helper assists skilled tradespeople and laborers on construction sites by performing basic tasks like site cleanup, material handling, and assisting with equipment operation. Key Responsibilities of a Construction Helper:
Site Preparation: Cleaning and preparing construction sites by removing debris and hazards, digging trenches, and compacting earth.
Material Handling: Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
Assisting Tradespeople: Helping electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and other skilled workers with their tasks.
Operating Tools: Operating hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and jackhammers.
Basic Construction Tasks: Assisting with measuring and cutting materials, mixing adhesives, and performing basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
Following Safety Guidelines: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications:
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
