Land Surveyor
Job Description

We are urgently seeking motivated Land Surveyors who are either licensed or interested in pursuing licensure. This role is ideal for individuals with leadership aspirations and a desire to advance to the position of Director of Survey.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer field data to office computer network.
  • Perform field work and research, including field location, necessary to complete survey drawings.
  • Conduct utilities research and location, photogrammetric ground control, and construction stake-out.
  • Complete drawings for land-use planning, storm and sanitary sewer design, site plan preparation, and subdivision design.
  • Travel within Connecticut to visit current project sites.
  • Complete assigned survey projects, including property (land & boundary) surveys, topographic surveys, property stakeout, construction layout, wetlands surveys, terrestrial lidar surveys (laser scanning), and as-built surveys.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in GPS, Robotic Total Station, and Terrestrial Data Collector.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.
  • Strong skills in drafting, topography, and land surveying.
  • Ability to perform zoning, computations, and assess existing conditions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Licensed Surveyor (LS) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with prior work experience in Fairfield County, CT.
Work Environment

The role involves both fieldwork and office work. Candidates must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions. The work environment offers occasional flexibility to work from home and is supported by technologies such as GPS, Robotic Total Station, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
